The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is inviting online applications from eligible male and female Indian citizens, including those from Nepal and Bhutan, for the recruitment of Constable/Tradesmen in the positions of Barber, Safai Karamchari, and Gardener. This recruitment is for temporary posts, likely to become permanent, within the ITBPF. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad and will be governed by the ITBPF Act, 1992, and ITBPF Rules, 1994.

Pay Scale and Benefits
- Pay Scale: Level-3 in the Pay Matrix, Rs. 21,700-69,100 (as per 7th CPC)
- Other Allowances: Includes Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Special Compensatory Allowance (in specified border areas), free accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, Leave Travel Concession, and free medical facilities. Pension benefits will be as per the New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme effective from 1st January 2004.

Educational Qualifications and Age Limit
- Constable (Barber & Safai Karamchari): Between 18 to 25 years. Matriculation from a recognized School or Institution.
- Constable (Gardener): Between 18 to 23 years. 10th Class pass from a recognized Board and relevant work experience or certification.
Age Relaxation
Age relaxation is available for SC/ST, OBC (NCL), Ex-Servicemen, Government Servants, and dependents of victims of the 1984 and 2002 riots, as per the government rules.
Physical and Medical Standards
Height and Chest Measurements
- Different standards apply based on the candidate’s region and category. For example:
- For other States and Union Territories: Male – 170 cm (height), Female – 157 cm (height)
- For Scheduled Tribes: Male – 162.5 cm (height), Female – 150 cm (height)
- Chest Measurements (for males): Unexpanded – 80 cm, Expanded – 85 cm
Medical Standards
- Eye Sight: Minimum distance vision of 6/6 and 6/9 for both eyes without correction.
- Color Vision: CP IV by ISIHARA.
- Candidates must not have knock-knees, flat foot, varicose veins, or squint in eyes and should possess high-grade color vision.
