Railway Cultural Quota Recruitment 2024 : Vacancy Details
- Classical Vocal (Male) – 1 vacancy
- Instrumental (Violin) – 1 vacancy
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- Passed 12th or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks (SC/ST/ESM/PWD and candidates with higher qualifications can have lower marks).
- OR Passed 10th with ITI/National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) approved by NCVT.
- Age Limit (as of January 1, 2025):
- General (UR): 18-30 years
- OBC: 18-33 years
- SC/ST: 18-35 years
- Age relaxation is available for certain categories (refer to the notification for details).
- Cultural Qualification:
- A degree/diploma/certificate course in the respective discipline (Vocal/Violin) from a government-recognized university/institute (essential for Instrumental position).
- Desirable Qualification:
- Experience in the applied discipline and performance on All India Radio/Doordarshan etc.
- Awards/Prizes won at National Level in the applied discipline.
Reservation:
- The posts are open to all candidates, but those applying under SC/ST/OBC/ESM/PWD categories will get age relaxation as per general recruitment rules.
Selection Process: Railway Cultural Quota Recruitment 2024
The recruitment process involves two stages:
Stage I – Written Test (Objective type, 60 minutes):
- This test will assess candidates’ knowledge in various areas like General Knowledge,Science, Mathematics, English/Hindi, Professional Knowledge, Reasoning, and Aptitude.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40%
Stage II – Assessment of Talent in Applied Discipline (if shortlisted in Stage I):
- This stage will evaluate candidates’ practical skills and cultural achievements.
- Practical Demonstration (35 marks)
- Testimonials/Prizes etc. (15 marks)
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (separate for Stage II)
Only candidates who qualify in both stages will be considered for medical examination.
How to Apply: Railway Cultural Quota Recruitment 2024
- Online applications will be accepted through the Eastern Railway Recruitment Cell website (www.rrcer.org) from July 12, 2024, to August 11, 2024.
- Application fees vary depending on the category (Rs. 500/- for general, Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/PWD/Women/Minorities/EBC).
- Candidates must upload scanned copies of required documents like photograph, signature, certificates (educational, caste, income, disability), etc.
